Your pet may need emergency medical care if they exhibit any of the following symptoms:
Apparent paralysis
Dramatic change in body temperature
Difficulty standing
Excessive bleeding
Loss of consciousness
Pale gums
Rapid breathing
Seizures
Weak or rapid pulse
If your pet is exhibiting any of these symptoms, give us a call before you bring them into our clinic. This will help us get ready to jump into action when you and your pet arrive. We will also give you advice on transporting your pet safely. Depending on your pet’s condition, we may be able to help you stabilize your pet over the phone.

We can help you with first aid for your pet, such as:
Elevating and applying pressure to bleeding wounds
Removing a blockage with your fingers when your pet is choking
Walking you through CPR for your pet
We understand that emergencies can be a scary situation. Don’t be afraid – we’re here for you and your pet. If you remain calm for your pet, it can help them settle down and prevent them from becoming aggressive and hurting themselves further.
For less urgent medical issues, we ask that you book the next available appointment. This will ensure that your pet will be seen promptly by one of our Katy veterinarians. We understand that your pet’s medical needs are important and will make sure that they get our undivided attention.
